

MARK HEYMAN
Mark Heyman is President of Cope Human Resources and consults in the areas of human resource management, employee recruitment and retention, labor relations, employment law compliance and management development.
He aids executive management, supervisors, and all levels of staff in recruitment and retention of qualified employees by providing the following consulting services:
- Developing sound policies and procedures;
helping employers stay compliant with federal and state employment laws - Developing and implementing compensation structures
- Fostering healthy labor-management relations
- Coaching all levels of staff to maintain strong communications
As a consultant, Mark has worked with clients representing an array of for-profit and non-profit organizations.
Mark earned his Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from the University of Vermont and spent a semester studying in London, England through Boston University's London Internship Program. Mark earned his Juris Doctor from Suffolk University Law School. Prior to consulting, Mark served as legal counsel to the Vermont State Employees' Association, Inc.. He is also a member of the Society for Human Resource Management.
Mark has drafted legislation to enhance employee rights and to eliminate waste in State government. He has run for a seat in the Vermont House of Representatives and continues to stay active in local politics.
Mark spent the first ten years of life growing up in Austria, Germany, and Switzerland prior to living in New Jersey and has considered Vermont his home for the past ten years. He is an avid fly-fisherman during the summer and snow-boarder during the winter.
