strategic planning
Strategic planning determines where an organization is going, how it is going to get there, and how it will determine if it has reached its destination. Far more important than the strategic plan document, however, is the planning process itself.
A good planning process results in action steps that are developed through a collaborative effort by a microcosm of the organization that is willing and able to make a difference. The process provides many opportunities for team building, creativity, innovation, and reflection among participants.
There are a variety of approaches used in strategic planning, as well as a variety of methods used to implement action plans. COPE specializes in applied strategic planning that incorporates solid research (environmental scanning) with self-study (internal performance audits), mission and vision development, values clarification, gap analysis, SWOT analyses, and transforms them into realistic, relevant, and manageable action steps. We use comprehensive, yet practical approaches that are tailored to our clients’ needs.
Our goal in strategic planning is to help clients and their stakeholders make sound decisions based on solid research, build the capacity of our client to replicate the activities, and get the plan off the paper and into action.
Cope is proud to offer a strategic planning process to clients that helps them approach the future with confidence and, in the end, achieve more.
