#1 - Helping a local division of a national non-profit organization develop cost-effective training workshops for their member agencies.

Challenged with how to help agencies with few staff, varied needs, and limited budgets, one organization asked COPE for help.  COPE designed a workshop series that offered a variety of topics to several organizations in an affordable, open-enrollment format.  This solution allowed non-profits to benefit from skill development and interaction in a group environment without incurring the expense of bringing trainers to individual organizations.  Due to its success in the first year, the training series has become an annual event that has grown in popularity each year.  COPE now offers similar programs to non-profits in several regions of Vermont.

#2 - Developing and delivering a customized training program that matched the company culture.

A software development company in the hospitality industry turned to COPE to create a two-day training program.  One day was targeted to meet the specific development needs of front-line staff and included workshops on communication, project management, time management, and professionalism in the workplace.  A second day for supervisors included courses on LIFO communications, time management, and coaching and feedback.  COPE structured both days to include team building activities and match the company culture.

 

#3 - Developing online training courses for an organization with employees around the world.

A large department of the federal government wanted to provide easily accessible training to employees who work at diverse points across the globe.  Previously the organization had incurred great expense to bring employees together to attend stand-up trainings in one location.  They asked COPE to adapt their course content into interactive online modules using third-party software.  COPE's work with this alternative training format allowed the organization to save significant time and money.
